Princess Buttercup Earrings

If you grew up in the 90s, chances are you were as obsessed with the Princess Bride as we were. Giants, an evil prince, poison competition, battling swordsmen, galloping white horses, alchemists, a brave farm boy and – of course – Princess Buttercup were a powerful line up of characters. The film became a cult favourite amongst a generation or children and adults alike.

The inspiration behind these floral hoop earrings is one of the main protagonists of the film, Princess Buttercup, a beautiful and elegant maiden who overcomes trial after tribulation to win back her love, Westley. Should the Princess ever make a screen sequel, we like to think she would look right at home in these Buttercup Earrings.

Handmade in London, the earrings feature gold brass hoops and plastic blue, white and yellow flowers.
